Providing High Quality Childcare Programs in Port Coquitlam

Our Philosophy

At Kids’ Heaven Learning Centre, we believe every child is born with an innate curiosity and desire to explore the world around them. Our philosophy centers on creating an environment where infants and toddlers under 3 can thrive through free play, social interactions, and guided exploration. We believe that young children learn best when they are given the freedom to engage in activities that stimulate their creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills, while also developing essential motor, language, and emotional skills.

Education

As an educator with a Master’s degree and over 10 years of experience teaching both adults and children, I bring a deep understanding of child development, learning theories, and the importance of a strong, supportive caregiver-child relationship. My professional experience allows me to implement evidence-based practices that foster both independence and a sense of security in every child. I am committed to creating a space where each child feels valued, understood, and encouraged to explore the world at their own pace.

Free Play

At Kids' Heaven Learning Centre, free play is the heart of our curriculum. Through unstructured play, children are allowed to learn vital life skills, such as communication, empathy, and collaboration. Whether through a building, pretend play, art, or movement, children are encouraged to express themselves, problem-solve, and learn in ways that are natural and enjoyable.

Learning

Our approach is rooted in the belief that learning is most effective when it is child-centred and play-based. By offering a rich, stimulating environment where children have the freedom to explore their own interests, we support the development of cognitive, emotional, and physical skills that form the foundation for future learning.

Development

With a deep commitment to each child’s growth and development, we provide individualized care and attention in a safe, nurturing environment, where every child is respected and valued. This allows children to develop not only the skills they need to succeed academically but also the confidence, curiosity, and love of learning that will last a lifetime.

ABOUT US

Maryam Koniehnoor

Hello, I’m Maryam, an experienced Early Childhood Educator (ECE), Infant and Toddler Educator (ITE), and Special Needs Educator (SNE) with over a decade of experience working with children and adults. I hold a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from Research and Science University in Iran and a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering. Alongside my background in technology and research, my true passion lies in early childhood education and nurturing young minds.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various daycare centers, gaining hands-on experience as an ECE, ITE, and SNE educator. I am committed to creating a warm, supportive, and engaging learning environment that meets the unique needs of each child, including those requiring specialized support. My teaching philosophy centers on compassion, patience, and the joy of guiding young learners as they explore and grow.

I am excited to announce the opening of Kids’ Heaven Learning Centre, a cozy, nurturing daycare for children aged 0-3 years. With a small group of only 8 children, Kids’ Heaven will provide individualized attention and a safe space where children can develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills in their earliest years. I believe that the early years are foundational, and I am dedicated to helping each child flourish through a play-based, curiosity-driven approach to learning.

I look forward to welcoming families to Kids’ Heaven and embarking on this journey together to support each child’s growth and development.
